Making a return from returns

Challenge

Asda were looking for a partner with expertise across a wider range of services, this was to enable Asda to understand why product was being returned and if, indeed it was actually faulty. The aim was to lower in-store returns rates and understand which products drove higher return rates and why.

 


Solution

ANOVO, with their heritage in repair, refurbishment and regeneration, understood that returned electricals are not necessarily waste or scrap. In fact, due to Asda’s returns policy much of the returns still held significant value.
ANOVO’s Returns-Refurbish-Resale Hub Solution, effectively collects returns from Asda, screens all units and refurbishes those that will deliver strong revenue via resale.
Developed from a thorough understanding of Asda’s business, ANOVO was able to provide considerable added value via a profit share scheme with the added benefit of a suite of reports that enabled Asda to understand why product was being returned. This information has been successfully utilised to lower the overall electronic return rates in-store.
